What are feelings, really? Feelings are a powerful emotion.
Feelings are a complex part of all of us; they exist beyond anything we can see, touch or feel physically. They go back to the beginning of everything and they exist not only within us humans but in nature herself. In understanding ourselves we must also understand that of where all things come from, first, a seed.
When we are conceived like everything else we are conceived from a seed that fertilizes an egg and like that when we plant a seed in the ground over time we begin to see them sprout and grow to develop into something amazing. It takes on its own life force, forms, and shapes, colours in eyes, hair, skin, and personality, this is how all thing beginning and feelings which seem almost invisible to the naked eye because they are not anything in which we can touch, but yet they are still very much a part of all things whether we realise it or not. When we watch a seed that is planted into the ground it takes first the earth in which is the womb that gives it protection and the food it needs as well as the water that provides it nourishment to keep it moist so it can grow. We are that is our human bodies are, ninety percent water and without that water we cannot survive and without that element being part of us, we would cease to feel or have any emotions at all, water is a powerful element and one that is extremely important, it helps us feel our truest of emotions and is the purest form of our feelings, it reveals our soul if one only looks. The instant an egg is fertilized a new life begins, from nothing an amazing human being develops and grows inside the womb of the mother. We all have this in common, we all come from simple seed that sprouts then develops this is our common connection to each other. In looking at from this perspective our feelings, they truly begin at the time of our conception, when are but a thought created out of feelings and become our own person with our own feelings.
When life begins to form it starts with a starts with a sprout that peaks up from the soil and then its roots take hold to form a solid foundation, so that it can grow its roots and become strong and have a foundation. As it matures it then grows branches and is leaves, flowers, buds and then the fruit it is to bear when it has reached maturity. When we explore our feelings it is just like a seed, because it has to start from something and feelings are primal in nature, they are free will of who we are and what we seek of ourselves in our most our most passionate expressions. Feelings are moveable they are never the same one day to the next, or for that matter one minute to the next, there is always something that stirs them up inside, they are fluid and ever changing, stirring up self doubt, raising questions about who we are and why we are here as well as opening us up to a deeper part of our soul. Feelings are associated to the element of water and the Moon, the Moon existed prior to the Sun and in that of the dark and night, chaos, confusion, the darkest places where wisdom can be found by seeking to awaken and see the light we all carry within ourselves, our flame our torch this is where feelings all begin.
In a simple exercise, stop and close your eyes, breathe in and out with each breath allowing yourself to really feel what changes occur, how you feel, does your body have a stronger sense of the energy around it, does your mind feel open and free, does your heart seem calmer, do you feel lighter in body and mind, what do you feel? Subtle changes will occur because you are allowing yourself to release from the physical part of yourself the material part in order to sense the spiritual nature which is pure and of the unseen, which is where feelings come from the darkness and the unseen world. They are an illusion, they are your illusion but normal to you. Feelings manifest from many triggers, music, smell, touch, sense, a sound anything that makes sense to us and that we have experienced before in our life, a word or phrase can also trigger feelings deep inside of our self, too. In order for us to truly understand our feelings and why we react the way we do, we have to first be honest with what those feelings are and challenge our illusions and normal to see beyond what is comfortable. Accept the uncomfortable feelings you have and explore them beyond your normal sense of perception and see where they take you and what you gain from this experience.
Feelings for us all are foreign and unfamiliar this is because when we are conceived we know nothing of this, we have not yet grown or developed any of our senses in which allow us to take on such emotions we do feel from our mothers when they carry us in their womb, every emotion they feel we feel. This takes me to a story from someone very special in which she told me of an incident of her granddaughter and how she reacted when her parents took her to the Memorial site of the 911 victims. Her parents went to New York for a vacation and they went to visit the memorial site and during the time in which she was pregnant with her daughter she had watched a show that was focused on the story of that day. From this the mother felt so much from what happened that day that this feeling transferred to her unborn daughter and when they visited the site, her daughter instantly started crying and feeling the emotions of the those souls that had been lost at that site, it was so overwhelming for her they had to take her immediately from the memorial site so she could calm down. Her mother did not understand why she had reacted like this, what brought on those feelings from such a young child and at that time I think she was only one or two years of age. When her mother asked her did you ever watch anything on television about this while you were pregnant she said, yes. Her feelings of remorse transferred to her unborn daughter. Yet, because we are not yet of our own senses this sense of feeling is foreign because we are not yet developed enough to understand what is going on and why we feel the way we feel. It is only after we are born that we begin to have our feelings emerge outwardly for others to see, for us to have our own sense of feelings and how they make us feel or react to certain things. We are trying to develop and understand what is going on and why we feel the way we do, and sometimes we can go our whole lives without this understanding.
Our feelings are so deeply embedded into who we are and many times in today’s society not accepted, so we often times told to ignore them, they are not real, we’ll talk about it later from that you learn to hide your feelings and from that you never gain understanding of yourself. Feelings are such a powerful part of who we are that it is necessary to learn how to handle them, to open yourself up, allow them to overcome you with a flooding sensation to ride that wave to understand who you are as a young lady and a woman. So many are raised to mentally and emotionally dependant they never truly learn how to handle a situation when they are faced with something be it easy or hard, why? You did not have the guidance as a young girl to learn how to experience your feelings. Feelings are very powerful. Feelings are normal, they are part of who we are and when guided how to connect to them and understand why we feel what we feel you will have a greater understanding of yourself and who you are, with this you will be able to open yourself up to others as well as understand others. We have to see beyond the naked eye and a feeling is looking beyond what we can physically see, because we must look with our heart.
